Project 'Activity-related Risk Assessment with SAP' goes into production at the Lingen oil refinery
Effective immediately, activity-related risk assessments can be created in the Lingen oil refinery SAP system. The user interface of the new application has been designed analogous to the CoW cockpit, so the employees can quickly find their way around. The software saves the standardized documents of activity-related risk assessments in the system and can be linked directly to existing work permits in case of high risk. An integration of this tool into the CoW Cockpit is already prepared and can take place at any time.

clavis is Cooperation Partner of the UAS (FHDW) Bergisch Gladbach:
clavis recently signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Applied Sciences in Bergisch Gladbach. The UAS (FHDW) is a state-recognized university that offers the so called dual study. Students switch regularly between university and partner companies, i.e. scienctific teaching and operational practice are equally important during their studies.
With this contract clavis becomes a partner company of the UAS (FHDW) and starting September 2011 supervises one student of business informatics (Bachelor of Science) during his complete studies including the practical phases. Additionally the student receives a scholarship, i.e. clavis pays the entire tutition fees.
clavis considers this commitment as a long-term furture investment, for high-qualified excellently trained employees are the true potential of our company.

Activity-based Risk Assessment with SAP" project launched at oil refinery Lingen :
This new software tool creates detailled risk assessments for high risk activities. The application supplies standardized copies of system-generated activity-based risk assessments and can be linked directly to existing permits.

Mobile Solution Implemented in Shipping Process of a Solar Technology Supplier :
clavis has successfully implemented their mobile solution for the shipping of a HessianSolar Technology Supplier. This specific solution automatically creates the respective handling units for a delivery. For materials that require serial numbers, handling units are assigned automtically. After packing, the pallets are loaded onto trucks. This process is entered into the SAP system online, too. The use of mobile solutions increases the effiency of processes as well as their transparency. Thus it can be checked at any time, in which handling unit and on which truck a particular material is shipped.

Oil Refinery Emsland Uses Risk Assessment Solution in their SAP Productively
The recently at Ruhr Oel GmbH successfully implemented Risk Assessment solution now went into production at another BP site. The modified version integrates two new functions: A mobile forwarding of ambient air samples and the electronic approval of neighbouring plants. Both functions are needed for operations clearance, and they led to a significant process optimization, for the long distance between measuring stations has been replaced by electronic processes.

The BAV reinsurance planner clavisArcturo calculates pension commitments, e.g. for managing partners. Now this solution has been enhanced by an important feature: Besides the tax balance view the 2.3.7 version of clavisArcturo also provides the impact on the trade balance according to the BilMoG (Bilanzrechtsmodernisierungsgesetz/German Accounting Law Modernisation Act). Thereby, for compensation dependant commitments salary and pension trends can be included. clavis Unternehmensberatung now offers consulting know-how for mobile Syclo solutions in Europe. In the course of actual project activities a clavis consultant has been trained and certified at the Syclo headquarters in Chicago. Main focus of this training was the Syclo Agentry development. Syclo provides with their SMART Mobile Suite various mobile applications that can be fully integrated into SAP ERP. Particularly in the area of mobile solutions for maintenance and service Syclo is preferred partner of SAP AG.
